Dear Parents and Students
You probably already know that the state now grades each of its schools with a letter grade, A through F, based on the AIMS scores, for that school. Alpine Elementary School has been an "A" school (used to be called Excelling) every year since the state instituted this particular grading system. What you might not know, is that Alpine is ranked in the top 2% of ALL schools in Arizona, which includes public schools, charter schools alternative schools and private schools. Only 476 schools (out of almost 3,000 schools) in Arizona were rated as "A" schools, and we are in the top 10% of those! Hard work and dedication from our staff and students makes this possible. Congratulations Alpine Elementary School!!
Santa's Secret Shop will be open after Thanksgiving break. What a great opportunity for our students to purchase a few gifts to give for Christmas.
Christmas break is from December 23rd to January 3rd. School resumes on January 6th.
Students will be working on their gingerbread houses this month. Their creations are always so wonderful! Stop by after Thanksgiving break to look at them.
If you arrive late to school with your child, please come in to the school and sign in your child. There is a sign in and sign out sheet in the office. Thank you!
Please be aware that 25mph is the posted speed on our School Road (#2311). Please keep our students safe.
If you have questions or ideas, don't hesitate to call or stop by the school.
