Dear Parents and Students:
Kindergarten Round-up, a time for next year's kindergarteners to come to school for a morning to see what it is all about, will be on May 15th. The 7th/8th grade students leave for their end of the year trip on May 17th. Also on that day the Kindergarten through 6th grade students go to Show Low for a day of swimming and picnicing at the Aquatic Center and park. Kindergarten and Eighth Grade Graduation and Promotion Ceremony will be on May 23rd at 6:30 p.m. There will be an awards assembly in the morning on the last day of school, May 25th. A lot of great acting was done by our students in their performance of The Tortoise and the Hare on May 11th. Everyone worked hard and did an outstanding job in learning their lines. Congratulations to Allissa H. for winning the ipod in the Stop Bullying Contest! The AIMS testing went very well. Thank you for making sure your child was in school all three days. The Skiing and Sledding Field Trip was a huge success! Everyone had a great time, and loved being outside. Thanks to all those who helped to make it such a great success.The County Spelling Bee was held on February 9th in St. Johns Middle School. Our school winner, the school runner-up, Mrs. Hansing and myself attended. I am really proud of our two students who made it to the county level. If you arrive late to school with your child, please come in and sign the student in. There is a sign in and sign out sheet in the office. Thank you!

 Would you be interested in contributing towards an Arizona State Tax Credit?? In 2007, Arizona taxpayers are allowed to receive a tax credit of $400 for married couples filing a joint return, and $200 for single or head of household filers. This credit is for payment of fees in support of extra curricular activities at an Arizona school of their choice. This credit may be used to reduce state tax liability to Zero and any unused amounts may be carried forward for not more than 5 consecutive taxable years.
