Dear Parent/Guardian,

Our new Social Studies program was adopted at our April Board meeting. Harcourt will be our program kindergarten through 6th grade and Holt will be our Social Studies program for 7th and 8th.

We have put on display the Reading Street program from Pearson/ Scott Foresman. Each grade level (K-6) is available for you preview. All proposed reading materials are located on the counter in our Multi Purpose Room. Please let us know what you think.

We are using a new spelling program this year. Sitton spelling is the new program.

McNary basketball teams visit Alpine on Friday November 20th. Game time is 1pm.

Several veteran's from the Alpine area will visit and share with our students their thoughts and ideas about having served our country.

Our daily starting time is 8:05AM. Our school day ends at 3:05PM.

If you arrive late to school with your child, please come in and sign the student in. There is a sign in and sign out sheet in the office. Thank you!

Remember, if you have questions or ideas, please don't hesitate to call or stop by your school.

Mr. Cox

Would you be interested in contributing towards an Arizona State Tax Credit??

In 2007, Arizona taxpayers are allowed to receive a tax credit of $400 for married couples filing a joint return, and $200 for single or head of household filers. This credit is for payment of fees in support of extra curricular activities at an Arizona school of their choice. This credit may be used to reduce state tax liability to Zero and any unused amounts may be carried forward for not more than 5 consecutive taxable years.

If you are interested, please contact Linda Fite at the Alpine Elementary School Office or call 928-339-4570
